VIDEO: Mississippi State QB Garrett Shrader Gets Utterly Lit up and Flung Into Air on 4th Down Run
By Adam Weinrib
Needing 16 yards to keep the drive going, true freshman Mississippi State QB Garrett Shrader really went for it on this all-out miracle play in an attempt to complete a last stand against K-State. Unfortunately for him, the first down was not attained. Fortunately, however, he remains alive, after a vicious hit riiiiiiight near the marker sent him spiraling conservatively 10 feet in the air, his body splayed out sideways, bracing for impact.
Shrader walked it off, forever a foot short of one of the all-time, Hall of Fame first downs. Tough loss in Starkville, but at least our friend here still has all his motor functions after getting firmly Elway'd.
