VIDEO: MLB and Matt Damon Release Excellent New 'Stand Up to Cancer' Promo for 2019 All-Star Game

The stars have come out in force for a new Stand Up To Cancer PSA that was officially released on Tuesday, and will air before the MLB All-Star Game on that night. The 60-second video features stars such as Matt Damon, Uzo Aduba, and Zachary Levi all holding SU2C signature placards that shows the extensive effects of cancer on everyone in the stadium.
The All-Star Game has featured a moving moment in recent years where everyone stands together in silence, as they hold cards in memory of loved ones who have battled cancer. MLB has been doing this since they became the founding donor of SU2C back in 2008. Since then, MLB and its clubs have contributed more than $50 million to the organization, which has allowed for the creation of six new cancer therapy treatments.
This year, they brought a bit more star power out to launch the effort. Of course, there's plenty of focus here on the previously-established traditions of baseball, like popping up on the Jumbotron. Ultimately, the league hopes raising cancer awareness will join those vaunted traditions.
Hopefully MLB and its fans can continue to unite and aid SU2C in making a difference in the fight against cancer.
