VIDEO: Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr Go Yard as Red Sox Bat Around in the 4th
By Sean Facey
The Red Sox staked themselves to an early 5-0 lead against the Orioles only to lose it by the end of the third inning. So how did they respond? By plating eight more runs while batting around in the fourth of course! Mookie Betts got things going, slugging a two-run shot to left field.
Not to be outdone, Jackie Bradley Jr. yanked one down the line in right field, marking his second three-run home run of the night. The blast capped the scoring, all of which came with two outs in the innings.
For the Red Sox, it's an offensive breakout that they've been waiting on for ages. As for the Orioles, it's just another depressing chapter written into a lost season.
