VIDEO: Naomi Osaka Comforts Coco Gauff in Heartfelt Display After US Open Battle

Whenever Serena Williams acquiesces, Naomi Osaka and 15-year-old Coco Gauff will be RIGHT there waiting to take the mantle. After the two young headline-grabbers battled in the US Open's third round on Saturday night (with Osaka coming out on top, 6-3 6-0), Gauff was rightfully overcome by emotion. But Osaka, just 21-years-old herself, had a bit of "veteran" wisdom to impart.

Yeah. This sport is as healthy as ever.

Not only do the two dominant female aces' storylines seem to give them a leg up on the competition, but their games are well-equipped to transcend. Osaka, competing for Japan, is the current No. 1 ranked player in the world, buoyed by her victory over Williams in last year's Open final. Gauff, of course, vaulted to the top of the sport by defeating Venus Williams at Wimbledon.

There's plenty for these two beacons of sport to bond over. But first, the healing process.
