VIDEO: Nationals Dugout Celebration While Kurt Suzuki Does the Macarena After Go-Ahead HR is Perfect
By Scott Rogust
The Washington Nationals and Houston Astros were caught in a 2-2 deadlock since the first inning of World Series Game 2. Anthony Rendon's double accounted for Washington's two runs, while the Astros scored off a two-run homer from Alex Bregman in the bottom half of the frame. Then came pitcher's duel between Justin Verlander and Stephen Strasburg. Well, until the top of the seventh inning. Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki took a high Verlander pitch deep to left field to give Washington a late 3-2 lead. How does Suzuki celebrate a go-ahead homer in the Fall Classic? Why, with the macarena of course!
That right there is team unity. Just look at soon-to-be 21-year-old phenom Juan Soto providing the beat for Suzuki by banging on the Gatorade jugs.
But they weren't done there! Adam Eaton hit a two-run homer in the next inning and the dugout erupted again.
If they keep hitting homers and scoring runs at this rate, they're going to have to come up with some new celebrations during the off day.
