VIDEO: Nationals Fan Holding 2 Beers Gets Hit in the Chest by Yordan Alvarez's Home Run
By Karl Rasmussen
This Nationals fan might go down as the greatest individual to ever attend a baseball game in MLB history. Yordan Alvarez provided the spark for the Astros in the second inning, launching a two-run shot off Joe Ross, but it's where the ball touched down that is the true story here. Alvarez smacked the laser right at a Nationals fan who was returning to his seat, double-fisting beers. The fan, unwilling to sacrifice even a drop of precious beverage (they're expensive, we get it!!) decided he'd be better off taking the ball straight to the chest.
That's called dedication. The fan took the ball square off the center of his chest, and then managed to bend down and pick it up without spilling a drop of beer.
If there's a fan Hall of Fame, this guy deserves to have his picture hanging on the wall. He's an absolute legend.
