VIDEO: Nationals Rally for 5-2 Lead in Fifth Inning Thanks to Adam Eaton and Juan Soto RBI
By Scott Rogust

The Washington Nationals just took the lead over the Houston Astros in Game 1 of the World Series, thanks in part to some small ball. During the top of the fifth inning, Kurt Suzuki was walked by Gerrit Cole, and Victor Robles notched a single to right field. Adam Eaton stepped up to the plate two batters later, and notched a single to right field, scoring Suzuki to give the Nationals the 3-2 lead.

20-year-old phenom Juan Soto faced off against Cole yet again, after hitting a homer off the legend-in-the-making in the fourth inning. Soto continued his surge, as he hit a line drive double to left field, scoring two more runs for Washington, now giving them a 5-2 lead.
Two out thunder!
