VIDEO: Nelson Cruz Hits a Bomb to Give Twins the Lead Against His Former Team
By Sean Facey

Nelson Cruz is squaring off with his former team, the Mariners, and he showed them that he's still got at least a few seasons left in the tank. The Minnesota Twins slugger sent one into the bleachers against his former team to give the team an early 1-0 lead.

Leaving a slider inside to a hitter of Cruz's caliber just isn't a smart idea. The blast was his 12th home run of the year, and he now has 29 RBI.
Cruz was a key member of the batting order for the Mariners from 2015-18, but signed with the Twins in free agency during the offseason on a one-year, $14.3 million deal. It's good to see him sticking it to the team that let him walk in the offseason.
