VIDEO: Never Forget Aaron Judge and Tyler Austin Going Back-to-Back in First MLB At-Bats 3 Years Ago
By Jerry Trotta

Aug. 13 is an iconic date in New York Yankees history...well, sort of. However, if you don't remember the day's significance, then you should probably reconsider your devotion to the Pinstripes. It stands as the debut for former prospects Aaron Judge and Tyler Austin, who remarkably managed to club back-to-back home runs in their first major league at-bats at the Stadium. In doing so, they became the first pair of teammates to hit a homer in their first plate appearances in the same game.

To add a little more history to the feat, Judge's bomb landed at a projected 446 feet into Monument Park, tying the Bombers' record for their longest HR in the Bronx in the Statcast era. And thus, the legend of the 6-7, 282 pound California native was born.
Austin, on the other hand, was eventually offloaded to Minnesota in 2018, and he now plays for Milwaukee. Perhaps his most commemorated contribution to the Yanks -- other than this piece of history that he featured in -- was the role he played in the brawl against the Red Sox last April, ferociously charging the mound upon getting beaned by Joe Kelly.
