VIDEO: New Mets Starter Marcus Stroman Once Won $100 on Nickelodeon as a Tiny Child

Marcus Stroman is no stranger to success. The newly-acquired Mets starter has been a winner since he was a child, when he made an appearance on on Nickelodeon's "Figure it Out."

Baby-faced Stroman received a nice prize of a $100 Toys R Us gift card. At that age he probably looked at it the same way he views his salary now. His dad sitting next to him also looks like the tank he still is today.

The show aired on Nickelodeon during the late 90s, and in between rounds audience members had the chance to earn prizes, which is how Stroman walked right into his $100 gift card.

Ever since the New York Mets acquired Stroman we have been getting a deeper look into the childhood days of the Stro-Show. He even faced off against new teammate Steven Matz in high school. It was a game that went about how you would expect, a 1-0 final score. Stroman was also in attendance for Johan Santana's no-hitter just a few days before he was drafted.

Stroman as a Met was meant to be.
