VIDEO: NFL Network's QB Rankings of Joe Montana and Patrick Mahomes Are Laughable
By Brendan Azoff

The NFL Network is having a tough week when it comes to their quarterback rankings, and it all started when they ranked four-time Super Bowl champion Joe Montana outside the top-10 on a list of all-time QBs. Then, they released their top-five quarterbacks heading into 2019 and they got it completely wrong ranking Patrick Mahomes third. Sheesh.
1st NFLN says Montana isn't a top 10 QB and now they have MVP Mahomes, as only 3rd best QB entering 2019, behind Brees?

I understand putting Brady above him since Brady beat him twice last year and won the SB but Brees?

Mahomes has only started one full year in the NFL, and he already has an MVP trophy under his belt. The Chiefs QB dominated the NFL last season, throwing for over 5,000 yards and for 50 TD's with only 12 interceptions.
Tom Brady is always going to be on that top-five list as long as he plays, and by winning a Super Bowl he deserves a spot near the top. But the youthful Patrick Mahomes deserves at least a top-2 spot, especially since he had 1,000 more yards than Brees with 18 more touchdowns.

Mahomes is innovative and highly skilled, and the NFL Network should give him some more love. But hey, if you are not going to love the newbie at least show Hall of Famer Joe Montana some respect. The NFL Network has to be better than that.
