VIDEO: NFL Refs Blow it Again After Calling a Double Pass Interference During Browns-Steelers
By Scott Rogust
There's nothing that NFL fans detest more than pass interference. Between the wishy-washy calls and the pointless challenge reviews, everyone is fed up. So of course, the referees were up to their usual tricks on Thursday night during the Pittsburgh Steelers-Cleveland Browns game. In the third quarter, Browns tight end Demetrius Harris and Steelers corner Mike Hilton fell to the turf after a pass from Baker Mayfield sailed over them. The yellow flags flew, and the head official announced to the crowd at FirstEnergy Stadium that Harris and Hilton BOTH committed pass interference.
The NFL world may have witnessed history. When has there ever been a double pass interference called? Seriously, we want to know.
On top of that, it couldn't be clearer Harris initiated the contact and committed PI almost exclusively on this play.
With confidence in the league's officiating at an all-time low (and that's saying something considering their history of ineptitude), everyone will remember the day in which double pass interference was called.
The NFL officiating department continues to dig its own grave, one foot at a time.
