VIDEO: Nicholas Castellanos' Cubs Power Surges Continues With Game-Tying Solo Jack
By Scott Rogust

In a slow and rather dead trade deadline, the Chicago Cubs emerged with a gem in the form of Detroit Tigers outfielder Nicholas Castellanos. Ever since joining the Cubbies, Castellanos has been on a ridiculous power surge. That continued on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies, as Castellanos hit a game-tying solo homer off starter Jason Vargas in the top of the sixth inning.

That's now Castellano's 5th homer in just 12 games, and as the Cubs look to build upon their NL Central lead, his red-hot August has been music to the North Siders' ears.
