VIDEO: Nick Bosa Interception and Juke Move Puts Cap on 49ers Rookie's Most Dominant Game Yet
By Karl Rasmussen
Kyle Allen has had an impressive start to his NFL career and has proven to be a player in this league, but if you watched the Panthers' Week 8 clash with the 49ers, you'd probably come to a different conclusion. That disparity is because he was constantly being pressured by the Niners defense all day long, particularly rookie sensation Nick Bosa. Bosa capped off what was a career day at the office with an interception, and then proceeded to embarrass Allen with a devastating juke.
Bosa was all over that screen pass, and immediately took off down field after coming away with the interception. Allen's feeble attempt to bring down the 6-4, 267-pounder was laughable, as No. 97 stormed into Panthers' territory.
That highlight at the end of the third quarter was the cherry on top of what was a major statement game from the No. 2 overall pick (and his team). Not only did he have that highlight reel sack and juke combo, but he also absolutely bullied Allen, sacking the Panthers QB three times.
Carolina's offensive line just couldn't keep the 22-year-old from bursting through the trenches, leaving Allen with fleeting seconds to fire off a pass.
The Ohio State product has had no trouble adapting to the NFL, and he's seamlessly fit into the Niners defense, becoming one of the most feared defensive linemen in the sport.
As Kyle Allen learned Sunday, Nick Bosa is not someone you want lining up against you.
