VIDEO: Nick Castellanos Rips a Solo Shot off Alex Wood as Cubs Take Early Lead Over Reds
By Jerry Trotta
We'll take a guess and presume that the Cubs are enjoying their deadline acquisition of outfielder Nick Castellanos. And it would appear that the slugger is looking to reciprocate their heartfelt welcome. Just three days after belting his first home run for his new club, the 27-year-old was up to much of the same Thursday evening against the Reds. Check out Castellanos park a baseball into the left center field bleachers at Great American Ballpark to give Chicago a 2-1 lead in the third inning.
Talk about a no-doubter.
We'll give Alex Wood the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn't mean to hang a breaking ball right down broadway. Mistakes like that are begging to be punished and Castellanos made sure to do just that.
