VIDEO: Nick Markakis Drills Jack Flaherty With Hard Grounder That Goes Directly to Paul Goldschmidt
By Brendan Azoff

Kick save and a beauty! You never want to see a pitcher get hit by a comebacker, but there's no better way to get hit by a ground ball than the way St. Louis Cardinals starter Jack Flaherty just got hit by a shot off the bat of Atlanta Braves' Nick Markakis.

Paul Goldschmidt casually picked up the ball and stepped on first to record the out, but we all know he was thinking "look what I found" to himself as he made the play.
In a slow moving series finale between the Braves and Cardinals, this could very well be the most entertaining thing we see all night.
