VIDEO: Nick Markakis Helps Save Braves Win With Remarkably Clutch Leaping Catch at the Wall
By Adam Weinrib

Where would the Atlanta Braves be without Nick Markakis?! His consistent bat, his workman like persona, and his Golden Glove have all helped lead the Bravos to the top of the division, making a deal that many thought would be a free agent misstep seem golden. The latest example of Markakis helping the Braves out of a jam had him on center stage Saturday night; with runners on first and second with one out, Francisco Mejia of the Padres rocked one to the wall, threatening to wipe out an extra-inning advantage entirely. Nope!
Nick Markakis took away extra bases with this game-saving catch in the 10th inning.

Markakis caught it, the runners advanced but nothing more, and the game was closed out two batters later, following an intentional walk.
Shoutout to Luke Jackson for finishing the job, but he's as thankful for Markakis as you are on this pleasant Sunday morning.
