WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD. IS. THIS? Omar Vizquel, an absolute defensive wizard throughout his entire big league career, still has the goods. In fact, he's had them from birth, and we don't see him slowing down anytime soon. Check out this insane transfer from the glove to the bare hand here during a little pregame catch; there...literally isn't even a split second between the two parts of the process.

Tell me how this happens. Just dying to know. As a 28-year-old, I lost any chance at being able to pull off something slick like this when I turned...nine?
But nope. Vizquel, who continues to make his Hall of Fame case with every trick shot video he produces, is certainly one of the most unique talents in league history. His resume is checkered with subpar offensive performances, but there's no doubting the man is a character, and he's amazing.
To the surprise of no one, Omar Vizquel is excellent at hitting the ever-difficult fungo pop-up to the catcher. Very hard to do, he hit skyscrapers.

And he's staying involved with the game, coaching in this year's Futures Game, because he knows no other way to handle himself.
