VIDEO: One Disastrous Masahiro Tanaka Inning Proves Yankees Need to Trade for More Pitching
By Mark Powell

Any Yankee fans still questioning whether or not their team needs to acquire pitching before next week's Trade Deadline has hopefully seen the light. Masahiro Tanaka took the bump for New York's first game in Boston, and it isn't going very well. In the first inning Tanaka gave up seven runs, and it all started with this meatball to Xander Bogaerts.

That, my friends, is a bomb--and Bogaerts 22nd of the season. The dread didn't end there for Tanaka.
Jackie Bradley Jr. added a 2-out hit of his own to make it 5-0.

JBJ is primarily known for his prowess in the outfield, making it somewhat surprising he was able to come through against the righty Tanaka.
To cap the inning, Mookie Betts delivered a double.

Tanaka is by no means the best the Yankees' rotation has to offer, but with such a gifted lineup New York cannot afford to waste their offensive production, especially come playoff time.
Brian Cashman needs to acquire some help for this rotation, or another postseason flame-out could be in their future.
