VIDEO: Orioles' Keon Broxton Makes Ridiculous Mistake to Help Give German Marquez a 2-Run Triple
By Thomas Carannante
If the New York Mets decide to designate a player for assignment, other teams should take notice. That memo apparently did not reach the Baltimore Orioles, who traded for Keon Broxton, and although he homered in his first at-bat (on the first pitch) with the team, he made a boneheaded play on Sunday that eventually led to a loss.
Ummm...what was that? Sure, it's already an extra-base hit, but playing that off the wall properly could've perhaps saved a run, and then the O's don't (or maybe they do) lose the game 8-7.
Broxton clearly had no idea where he was in the outfield as he was slowly approached the warning track and had PLENTY of space to go before getting to the wall.
