Cleveland Indians outfielder Oscar Mercado followed up a two-homer game on Monday with a two-run shot in Cleveland's five-run second inning against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.

Mercado now has 7 home runs in 48 games and is leading a resurgent Indians team that owns the American League's best record (24-11) since June 1st. The Tribe has won eight of their last 10 games and are tied with Oakland for the second Wild Card spot.
