VIDEO: Ozzie Albies Crushes a Mike Montgomery Changeup for a 2-Run Shot
By Scott Rogust
The Atlanta Braves-Chicago Cubs series has proven to be a chippy affair between the two National League division leaders. After dropping the opening game of the series, the Braves looked to make a statement against the Cubs on Tuesday. In the top of the seventh inning, Atlanta second baseman Ozzie Albies sent a Mike Montgomery changeup into the right-center field stands of Wrigley Field for a two-run home run. And just like that, the Braves took a late 3-2 lead over Chicago.
This could be only a preview of what's to come if both teams inevitably meet in the postseason this fall. Albies has been raking in June, and his 12th homer of the season came at a critical juncture in the game.
