VIDEO: Packers DB Adrian Amos Gets Revenge on Former Team With Clutch Interception Against Bears
By Sam Dunn
It's a dish best-served cold, folks. The Bears chose not to re-sign safety Adrian Amos this offseason despite drafting him in 2015 and keeping him around for four seasons. The former Penn State Nittany Lion ended up signing a free agent deal with the rival Packers instead, and made his mark at the perfect time. With the Bears driving late to potentially win the game, Amos got on the end of a Mitchell Trubisky pass in the end zone to blow up Chicago's opportunity.
It's pretty poetic, really. Good thing the Bears let him go, huh, Packer Nation?
Green Bay couldn't run out the clock entirely, but got one more defensive stand in the final minute to ice their foes and see out a close Week 1 win. All in a day's work in the rough-and-tumble NFC North.
