VIDEO: Packers Win on Last-Second Mason Crosby Field Goal After Smart Play by Jamaal Williams
By Thomas Carannante
My goodness, what a wild ride on Monday Night Football. The Detroit Lions looked like they were going to pull off the upset for about 55 minutes, but the Green Bay Packers never let up (and, admittedly, got some help from the referees). Nonetheless, a win is a win, and the Pack walked it off with this short field goal from Mason Crosby to snag the 23-22 victory at Lambeau.
Game over!
But how did we get here? A brilliant move by running back Jamaal Williams, who was given a clear path to the end zone but gave himself up with just over a minute left to let the Packers run the clock all the way down.
Aaron Rodgers made the throws when they mattered most and the receivers finally stepped up when they needed to. A big win for the Packers and a very, very rough one for the Lions.
