VIDEO: Packers WR Davante Adams Seen Running Routes in Return to Practice
By Scott Rogust
The Green Bay Packers have been without star receiver Davante Adams for over a month due to a turf toe injury. But Aaron Rodgers' favorite target just took a step in the right direction on Wednesday. Green Bay's No. 1 receiver participated in team practice on a limited basis. During the practice, Adams was seen running routes, and considering how painful turf toe is, he doesn't appear to be hindered by the injury.
Yup, he's going pretty hard there.
Adams suffered the injury in Green Bay's Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The injury was initially believed to be minor, but leading up to Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, Adams stressed he had no idea when he'd be able to start running again.
Last week, Adams showed up for team practice, but he was listed as a non-participant.
Fortunately for Adams, there was no need to rush back from his recovery, as the likes of Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Geronimo Allison all stepped up in his absence.
Still, Packers fans are hoping Adams can be cleared for this Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
