VIDEO: Padres and Dodgers Somehow Played Through a Freaking Earthquake in Los Angeles
By Karl Rasmussen
An earthquake struck along the West Coast late Friday night, stretching as far as Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The quake was felt in Vegas at the NBA Summer League, and was certainly affecting things at Dodger Stadium. Rather than pause the game immediately, the Padres and Dodgers continued an at-bat as if nothing was going on.
Somehow, Eric Lauer managed to throw a strike despite the earth quite literally shifting beneath his feet. It looked as if the players were unaware of what was going on, but the camera crew certainly could tell, as their equipment was shaking rather intensely.
