VIDEO: Padres' Manuel Margot Wipes Out Zion Williamson-Style When Shoe Flies Off Mid-Sprint
By Adam Weinrib

Sure, he lost out on a potential triple, but more importantly, he lost his dignity. No, this wasn't UNC-Duke at stake in the fifth inning of Red Sox-Padres, but ex-Sox prospect Manuel Margot definitely wanted to put a little extra oomph on this sprint against his old team after earning extra bases. Unfortunately, he spun out, losing a shoe and a series of bodily debris in the process.

First, there was being struck out by a position player ripping off a slider in Atlanta. Now, there's this mistimed tire change while trying for third against the team that jettisoned him.
We don't feel great for Manuel at the moment, who's also been one-upped by Jackie Bradley Jr. thus far in center field for this one.
Manuel Margot had three bases, easy. His bright orange players' weekend shoe came flying off as he rounded second. Margot tripped and was tagged out between the two bases.

Sorry about your kicks, man.
