VIDEO: Patrick Mahomes' Leadership Already on Full Display With Rookie Mecole Hardman
By Charles Nason

After an MVP year in the 2018-19 season, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has made himself a household name throughout the entire NFL. At just 23 years old, Mahomes still has plenty of growing to do throughout his career. Even with only one year of experience in the league, Mahomes continues to prove why he is one of the most promising and respected future talents the NFL has to offer.
Something else I noticed today: Mahomes and Mecole Hardman just missed on a deep pass early in practice. Mahomes waited on Hardman and walked with him to the next drill talking things over. After that, they looked totally in sync. pic.twitter.com/Pqhh6WXhRY

For a rookie, there's nothing more reassuring than having your new teammates behind you heading into your first year. Clearly, Patrick Mahomes realizes that, and is making an effort to help out guys in the position he was in just a year ago.
This exchange between Mahomes and former Georgia Bulldog Mecole Hardman is an incredible one. It also clearly proves that along with his mind-blowing talent comes leadership.
At this point, what is there not to love about Patrick Mahomes? The guy not only provides jaw-dropping plays week in and week out, but he's also one of the great personalities of the NFL and a born leader, even at such a young age.
"He's doing things at the QB position that people have never seen before."
