VIDEO: Patriots Rookie QB Jarrett Stidham Links up With WR Jakobi Meyers for 1st Career TD Pass

An NFL quarterback couldn't ask for a much better birthday present than their first NFL touchdown pass. New England Patriots rookie Jarrett Stidham is celebrating his 23rd birthday in style, as he's currently impressing against the Detroit Lions. The former Auburn quarterback linked up with former North Carolina State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to push the Patriots lead against the Lions to 20-0.
Arm strength was never an issue for Stidham in college, but pocket presence and accuracy were. On his first drive, he looked to be in command of the offense and confident.
Meyers, who somehow went undrafted despite multiple projections that he could go late on Day 2 and early on Day 3 of the 2019 Draft, is showing the quick feet and separation skills that made him such a deadly weapon opposite Kelvin Harmon at NC State. Meyers already has two touchdowns today, and is looking for more.
