VIDEO: Patriots Top Draft Pick N'Keal Harry is Dropping a Ton of Passes in Training Camp
By Mark Powell

If N'Keal Harry wants to see any playing time in his rookie season under Bill Belichick, he might want to try catching some passes in training camp. The adjustment from college to the NFL is harsh, and often comes with a dose of reality. Whether it be nerves or a case of the butterfingers, Harry's had a tough time reeling in passes from Tom Brady and the other Patriots QBs early in training camp.

Harry's ineffectiveness as it pertains to route running and the basic act of catching passes haven't gone unnoticed by Patriots faithful. In a system which demands perfection, Harry has been anything but, and fans in New England ought to be concerned with the lack of improvement from their first-round pick.

Harry has created separation thus far in camp against the likes of Stephon Gilmore, which speaks to his agility and overall talent. Yet, his hands continue to let him down, and it's an area he must progress in if he's to be the eventual top wideout the Patriots foresaw when they drafted Harry 32nd overall.

It's a small sample size, but such is the life of a promising position player in the NFL. This time next week, we might be highlighting an incredible leaping catch in a preseason game. For now, Harry has some work to do.
