VIDEO: Paul DeJong Drills 3rd Home Run of Series to Provide Winning Run for Cardinals in 8th
By Michael Luciano

What a series it's been for St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong. After a go-ahead single off of embattled Mets closer Edwin Diaz just days ago, DeJong continued his hot June by launching a home run off of Mets reliever Chris Flexen. This shot gave the Cardinals a 4-3 lead in the eight inning at Citi Field.
He did it again!

After hitting juts .200 in the month of May with just three home runs, DeJong has really turned it around in June, hitting .265 coming into this game. DeJong's fifth June home run was also his 13th of the season.
Safe to say he got all of that one.

While DeJong deserves all the credit for his clutch hitting, Flexen, Diaz, and the Mets bullpen deserves some attention for wasting yet another solid start.
