VIDEO: Pete Alonso Crushes Homer in 3rd Straight Game to Give Mets the Lead Over Marlins

The Polar Bear is busting out of his second-half slump in absurd fashion! New York Mets rookie slugger Pete Alonso blasted a home run in his third straight game, this time off of Marlins starter Jordan Yamamoto, to give his team an early 2-0 lead.
It was his 37th home run of the year, pulling him into a third-place tie in the MLB with NL MVP candidate Cody Bellinger.
Alonso came out of the All-Star break ice cold, leading many to wonder if the HR Derby screwed up his swing. He's done a pretty good job of putting those doubts to rest, though. He entered Wednesday slugging .652 over his last seven games, and this home run pretty much proves that he has no intention of slowing down.
