Alonso's 31st of the year was an absolute moon shot. Extending the Mets' lead over the Minnesota Twins, Alonso sent the ball 474 feet to the third deck.
The 24-year-old is on pace to shatter the Mets' franchise record for home runs, and is still proving that his victory in the Home Run Derby was no fluke.
That's home run No. 31 for Pete Alonso, who is now just 10 off the Mets' franchise record.

It went a holy-crap-are-you-serious 474 feet, easily the longest of Alonso's career, and the longest by any Met this season. pic.twitter.com/0mtAvKz9G9
When Alonso steps up to the plate, you better keep your head on a swivel.
