VIDEO: Pete Alonso Obliterates Offering From Cards' Michael Wacha for 3-Run Shot off the 3rd Deck
By Karl Rasmussen

"Polar Pete" has ice in his veins. His incredible rookie season has seen him demolish opposing pitchers, and he made no exception when coming up against Michael Wacha in the opening frame on Saturday. He took a high fastball and obliterated it to left field, where it hit off the third deck at Busch Stadium.
Upper (upper) tank. Rare territory. @Pete_Alonso20 is just built different. #LGM pic.twitter.com/jCvhQ4idlK

Yeah, that's a bomb, alright!
It was Alonso's 23rd deep fly of the year, as he leads all Mets hitters in the category. He's now driven in 53 RBI and is slugging over .600. Talk about a stellar first year in the bigs!
