VIDEO: Pete Alonso Unleashes One of the 2019 Season's Hardest-Hit Balls for Monster Home Run

Mets rookie first baseman Pete Alonso has been a sight to see this season. Despite his age, he is a true standout hitter in the league and a consummate threat at the dish. With stats that compare to seasoned veterans and highlight-reel dingers that demand repeated viewings, it should be no surprise that he now owns another of the hardest-hit homers of 2019.

Chicago Cubs pitcher Tyler Chatwood launched a 95 mph fastball right down the middle, and Alonso was more than ready. He launched the ball way into the left field crowd at a whopping 117 mph.
You could practically see the smoke coming off of the ball.
What a laserbeam off the bat of Pete Alonso.

This wasn't his first mind-bending rocket, and it certainly won't be his last. The first baseman has shown New York and the rest of the MLB that he is a heavy hitter and has the potential to be one of the best in the game for years to come.
