VIDEO: Phillies Take Lead on Cole Hamels and Cubs With Opposite Field Home Run From Bryce Harper
By Daniel Marcillo
Philadelphia Phillies star slugger Bryce Harper might finally be turning the corner. He had two major home runs in their series agains the San Francisco Giants and is continuing his surge against the Chicago Cubs. He smacked an opposite field homer off Phillies legend Cole Hamels.
After 37 homer-less at bats against Hamels, he finally put one out against the Cubs veteran. Harper put a charge into it too, blasting it into the left center field bleachers by a wide margin.
The Phillies need more of those swings from Harper to lead them into the playoffs, and he could be getting hot at the right time.
