VIDEO: Pitt Stages Epic Comeback Against Duke in Final Seconds After Blowing 23-point Lead
By Thomas Carannante
Pittsburgh fans can never have it easy. The Panthers led and out-played UCF handily for most of that matchup earlier in the year, but needed a last-second touchdown to secure the win. A week later, they nearly lost to Delaware. Fast forward to Week 6, and Pitt blew a 23-point lead in 18 minutes, only to come back and score the game-winning touchdown with under a minute left. How's everyone's blood pressure doing in Pittsburgh?
QB Kenny Pickett was the hero, getting rid of that ball as Duke sent the house to complete the 26-yard TD strike and secure the eventual 33-30 win.
After struggling to do much of anything in the second half, Pickett and the Pitt offense drove 82 yards down the field in just four plays and 38 seconds.
Go figure.
