VIDEO: Pittsburgh Pulls off 'Philly Special' to Stun UCF With Last-Minute Touchdown
By Karl Rasmussen
UCF won't be crowning themselves as national champions this year. After getting off to a rocky start against Pittsburgh, the Knights were able to claw back into the game, taking a late lead in the fourth quarter. However, the Panthers weren't going down quietly. With the ball in the red zone, and less than a minute on the clock, it was time for Pat Narduzzi and Co. to get creative, and that's exactly what they did. They whipped out the 'Philly Special' in order to trick the Knights defense and tie the game up at 34-34.
Are you kidding me? That may be the gutsiest call of the year, and Narduzzi and the Panthers are absolutely reaping the benefits of their bold decision making.
They would tack on the extra point, taking a 35-34 lead, and end up winning the game, handing the Knights their first loss of the season.
