VIDEO: Postseason Baby Shark With Gerardo Parra is on Another Level
By Scott Rogust
The Washington Nationals and their fans are feeling pretty good about themselves, as they took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the St. Louis Cardinals into Tuesday's battle. This one kicked off with a bang, as the Nationals scored seven runs in the first inning at the expense of Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson. With Washington fans understandably pumped up, how could they reach that next level? Well, all it took was Gerardo Parra pinch-hitting for Tanner Rainey in the bottom of the sixth inning. Once Parra stepped up to the plate, that meant the ever-popular "Baby Shark" blared over the loudspeakers of Nationals Park, and on Tuesday, the fans reached another level of atmosphere.
That's over 45,000 fans clapping their hands to the infectious children's song. And there were more adults participating than kids!
The event only got better for Parra, as he notched a single to right field.
The crowd participation was electric, and as a result, "Baby Shark" is engraved in the minds of baseball fans who viewed that video. Have a fun 24 hours with that song playing in your head!
