VIDEO: Conflicting Clips Appear to Show Richard Sherman Shaking Baker Mayfield's Hand Pregame
By Kevin Aquino

UPDATE:
It would appear Baker Mayfield did shake Richard Sherman's hand pregame despite his assertion that the former No. 1 pick slighted him. What?

Richard Sherman called Baker Mayfield out for not shaking hands with 49ers team captains prior to their game Monday, but San Francisco's official Instagram story shows that there might not have been much to make a fuss about. The Browns QB seemed to be showing the opponent some love in this clip, albeit not Sherman specifically.
I found this on the 49ers official Instagram account from their Instagram story last night - don’t see anything disrespectful from Baker here but this is a short clip. pic.twitter.com/8ZvHi4gPFC

It should be noted that this camera angle doesn't show any direct interaction between Mayfield and Sherman, but the former definitely shook hands with TE George Kittle. If Sherman was talking about getting personally snubbed by Mayfield, we still don't have enough evidence to show that was the case.
#49ers CB @RSherman_25 justifiably went hard at Baker Mayfield for lack of respect to the game after he refused to shake hands during the pre-game coin toss [via @ProFootballTalk]

It took Richard Sherman only 2 minutes into the game starting to pick off Baker in a 31-3 win. pic.twitter.com/Pi8LH4SxiD
Either way, the 49ers obliterated the Browns and Mayfield got a taste of his own medicine after getting sacked by OSU product Nick Bosa. Bosa was mocking Mayfield for something that happened prior to either of their NFL careers, meaning he's probably been waiting for this moment since then.
He didn’t shake my hand.

The Browns haven't lived up to their preseason hype thus far, and with their core members rubbing players the wrong way, it seems like people love to see it.
Of course, other film appears to suggest Sherman is in the wrong here, or perhaps misremembers the event.
So Richard Sherman is mad Baker Mayfield ran off the field and didn't shake hands a second time during the coin toss? This might be the dumbest controversy of all-time pic.twitter.com/zZssOt7CMW

There is no telling via this blurry video if Mayfield and Sherman did in fact cross paths. The image would appear to suggest they did, but once again, it's far from definitive.
And with that, we hope this controversy comes to an end.
