The NFL preseason is the perfect staging area for unsung talents and footballing dark horses to make household names out of themselves, even if only briefly. With that in mind, late August is an ideal time to celebrate a guy like Jamie Gillan. A rugby player by trade, the Inverness, Scotland product has earned himself a few fans in the Cleveland area for his booming punts-- and gritty plays like this.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't had their most consistent preseason showing this evening at Raymond James Stadium. Gillan must have gotten that sense, because he went all out after punting this one away, racing down the field to clip Bobo Wilson.
If this guy can't win a full-time roster spot, at least get him a reality show or something. We need more Hammer.
