By Adam Godfrey
The rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees may be the most historic in all of sports. The Sox wasted little time getting on the board during Friday's tilt, as third baseman Rafael Devers crushed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to give them a 1-0 lead.
The shot marked Devers' 8th home run in the month of May to add to a great month for him. He's been absolutely crushing the ball, leading all of baseball in hard-hit balls.
This is just an example of what happens when Devers puts the barrel on the ball.
