VIDEO: Rajon Rondo Had Wild NSFW Insult for Ref After Being Ejected From Lakers-Thunder
By Jerry Trotta
The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off their sixth consecutive victory on Friday night in a road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder despite not having the services of Rajon Rondo down the stretch. The vet point guard was ejected in the fourth quarter after he performed his best Draymond Green impression and kneed Dennis Schroder in the groin area. Rondo, having already been booked for a technical foul earlier in the game, felt as though his antics didn't warrant an ejection. While being escorted by teammates to the Lakers locker room, Rondo unleashed a few choice profanities toward the referee. What did he say? We'll leave that "mystery" for the master lip readers.
That's about the most Rondo thing we've ever seen. For those wondering, yes, the four-time All-Star was issued another tech on top of his flagrant 2...when he was already kicked out of the game.
Determine for yourselves, folks, was this dirty enough to call for a technical foul?
That angle definitely doesn't make Rondo look innocent.
Perhaps LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have a talk with their teammate about working harder to keep his emotions in check down the stretch because his playmaking prowess is too valuable to not be on the court in crunch time.
