VIDEO: Rays' Brandon Lowe Inexplicably Drops Easy Pop up to Give Astros 2 Free Runs
By Ryan Giglio

The Tampa Bay Rays need to play seemingly perfect baseball in their ALDS matchup against the powerhouse Astros. That's why gaffes like second baseman Brandon Lowe not catching a pop up may cost his team more than the two runs that scored on the play.

Yuli Gurriel hit a ball into baseball's Bermuda Triangle in right field, but Lowe had no business calling for that ball. He was close enough to be able to catch it, but that's the right fielder's play every time, unless he's running with a full head of steam.
Instead of the inning ending, it's now 4-0 Astros, which is undoubtedly an insurmountable lead.

Mistakes like this can't happen in the playoffs.
