VIDEO: Rays' Brandon Lowe Rips Complete Moonshot to Tie it up Against Boston
By Chris Pyo
Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe's nickname is Bamm-Bamm, and after witnessing this moonshot against the Boston Red Sox, it's easy to see why. Take a look at this solo homer that Lowe mashed off of Jhoulys Chacín to tie the Red Sox-Rays game at 4-4.
Lowe, who was activated from the IL yesterday after having missed nearly three months with a bruised right shin, was voted into the All-Star game this season and is batting .277 with 16 home runs and 49 RBI in the first half. He'll definitely be a spark for a Rays team that is seeking its first playoff berth since 2013 and finds itself tied with the Cleveland Indians for the second AL Wild Card spot.
It's all hands on deck in Tampa Bay, and they could sure use the hands of Lowe.
