It was a brutal bottom of the first inning for the Tampa Bay Rays, as reigning AL Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell couldn't even get out of the frame after allowing six runs. It only got worse for the Rays, as catcher Travis d'Arnaud took a foul ball off the knee.

Is that the punishment for getting away with catcher's interference? It was a missed call and batter Luke Voit ended up striking out, but d'Arnaud got the worst of it.

Despite the clear agony, d'Arnaud actually stayed in the game. I know he's a tough dude who has missed a lot time due to injury, but did you see him go to the plate in the third inning? If you did, you would realize he should take a seat.

To his credit, he's actually be very productive over the last couple weeks. In the month of June (31 at-bats) he's slashing .355/.382/.742 with 3 home runs and 11 RBI, which has convinced the Rays to bat him leadoff.
