VIDEO: Red Sox Fans Standing Ovation for Bill Buckner in 2008 Will Make You Tear Up
By Sean Facey
The late Bill Buckner was for the longest time unfairly scapegoated for prolonging Boston's World Series drought. Eventually, though, the Sox burst through with wins in 2004 and 2007. And after three decades of animosity and anguish, in 2008, Red Sox fans welcomed him back to Fenway Park with open arms.
It's enough to bring a tear to your eye.

This is the legacy Buckner deserved. One that isn't marred by the mistakes of the past.
