VIDEO: Red Sox Giving Out Free Tickets to Suspended Game on Thursday
By Kevin Aquino

What's better than baseball? Free baseball. Boston Red Sox fans were in for a treat, getting free tickets to resume an AL matchup against the Royals from two weeks ago.

In addition to $5 tickets for adults and free admission for those under 18, concessions will be sold at a discount during the game. Woohoo!
The two teams met in Boston on Aug. 7 and were tied 4-4 at the top of the 10th inning before heavy rains forced the rest of the game to be suspended. With the suspension so late in the game, the rescheduled events could come to a conclusion in less than an inning.
We resume our Aug. 7 game against the Red Sox today at 12:05pm. We will start due up in the top of the 10th with the score tied 4-4. Our lineup will remain the same, save for spots previously occupied by players no longer on the active roster. #Royals pic.twitter.com/gbOaVpGbEp

Lineups for both teams will remain the same so long as the player is healthy enough to take the field. For example, Kansas City's Jake Newberry is on the team's IL with shoulder inflammation, and will not play Thursday after pitching one inning on Aug. 7.
Unfortunately, this weirdness stole an off day from the Sox, who should be relaxing in San Diego right now.
