VIDEO: Red Sox Prospect Bobby Dalbec Hits Grand Slam at Premier12
By Jerry Trotta
The 2019 MLB season concluded just a few days ago, but it's fair to say that the Boston Red Sox have won the offseason thus far with their sublime appointment of Rays Vice President of Baseball Operations, Chaim Bloom, to replace Dave Dombrowski as their general manager. Well, the good vibes continued on Saturday as one of their top prospects, slugging third baseman Bobby Dalbec, clubbed a grand slam while representing USA Baseball at the World Baseball Softball Confederation Premier12 Tournament.
You can come to terms with the sheer power that a prospect flaunts by how effortlessly he swings, and folks, Dalbec sent that pitch into orbit without breaking a sweat.
He finished 2-for-4 on the day and his grand slam contributed to a 9-0 thrashing of the Netherlands.
What a day for the young prospect.
