VIDEO: Red Sox Rock Yankees Early Again as Mookie Betts and JD Martinez Go Yard in 1st Inning

The Boston Red Sox might be less than 24 hours removed from putting up 19 runs on the New York Yankees, but Alex Cora's men are still showing no signs of letting up. James Paxton was on the bump for the Bombers Friday evening to try and avenge Masahiro Tanaka's disaster-class outing from the day prior. And it's safe to say he did NOT get off to a great start, surrendering a lead-off BOMB to Mookie Betts.

A 96 mph heater right down broadway? Come on, Paxton. We know 2019 has been unkind to you thus far, but you are significantly better than that.

The Big Maple admirably attempted to redeem himself and trust his breaking ball a few batters later against J.D. Martinez. However, the result was the same. Paxton hung an 88 mph slider on the inside of the plate and the stud DH wasted no time blasting the pitch over the Green Monster.

Are the Red Sox about to one-up themselves from Thursday? Probably not. But they're certainly going to give it a go.
